8 Outdoor Styling Tips.
1. Bring the indoors out 
You can only use furniture that's weatherproof and looks are secondary ? I totally disagree 😉 A rug, pillows, floor cushions not only look super stylish, but are also comfortable and convenient.
You don't always like to go inside during your barbecue/braai? Outdoor kitchens are very popular, because they're so practical. You have everything right outside which is convenient and time saving.
2. Create moments with furniture placement 
Here the lounge area, there the fireplace and there's a nice dining table to enjoy the grilled food. I know not everyone has a 150m² garden, but if you have the space in your garden, create beautiful moments with furniture arrangements. It makes your garden more structured.
3. Bring in greenery 
One of the most important things in the garden, on the balcony, the terrace are the plants. Here you can give free reign to your creativity, anything is allowed, the main thing is that you like it and the plants thrive. 😉
4. Blending colours and textiles to blend into the surroundings 
Avoid super bright colours or neon tones for outdoor areas (Sure, if you are a fan of these colours and you love them, go ahead) but I advise you rather to use textiles and colours that blend in with nature / the environment. It brings so much balance and equilibrium which will help you to relax and calm down.
5. Incorporate textural planters 
I personally love all materials that have a rough texture and / or look vintage. Flower pots with texture give so much more character. They are also easy to make yourself. The DIY for this I will soon share with you on my Youtube channel, tbc .... 🙂
6. Comfort is the key 
What good is a suuuuper fancy, stylish garden, or balcony with uncomfortable furniture? If you decide to buy garden furniture, it's very important to test it, sit or lie on it. It has to be comfortable. You want to enjoy the time out, relaxing in your garden.
7. Vertical decorating 
Do you have a bare wall in your garden that may be adjacent to the neighbor's property, but don't quite know what to do with it? Vertical decorating is the solution! There are so many beautiful ways to add some pep to that bare, drab wall. Check out the images below for inspiration.
8. Don‘t forget lighting 
One of the most important things, which is unfortunately so often forgotten, is the lighting! There is nothing better than a warm summer night until late in the evening to sit outside with friends and just enjoy life and time together. Nobody wants to sit in the dark 😉 Here too, let your creativity
run wild, whether table lamps, pendants, fairy lights, candles, wall lighting, everything is allowed, which makes a nice cozy light. Pay particular attention to what bulbs you choose, not that you have to enjoy your summer night in the bright glaring light 😉
